If you can imagine a special stage 250 kilometers long, with rain and dirt and mud, narrow roads, wide roads, hairpins, fast sweeping corners, and then imagine only 1.5 seconds separating the top three WRC crews, you'll realize how awesome this competition really is. Sure, WRC does not work like that anymore (ultralong stages were last used in Safari Rally in Kenya approximately 200 years ago), but I'm just trying to illustrate how close the battle is. And that's not all, because fourth crew is only 1.5 3.5 seconds behind the third placed guys. So, top four are within 5 seconds.

Today ended with Jari-Matti Latvala holding the top spot after late charge on the final stage of the day. Second place belongs to once again excellent Dani Sordo (he does tend to excel on tarmac) while third went to Sebastien Ogier. Fourth is that retired guy, Sebastien Loeb.

Thierry Neuville slid off slightly in one corner and hit something. The impact wasn't hard, but it took the tyre off the rim and the Belgian lost over a minute. Well, shame.

We even had a working TV broadcast for most of the time. There are several known "illegal" streams available so in order to catch the working one you must play a mini game at times. But it's very much worth it - I got scared trying to watch some of the crews live. Because, it's live! It really is pretty dramatic once you have all the details about the sport and know what's at stake. If you can, do join WRC tomorrow, it should be one hell of a day.

Six stages are on the menu tomorrow. Can't wait.

I can't really describe how awesome live rally is. I've been waiting for each stage in a rally to be broadcasted since 2003. The first live stage (that I can recall) was the last one in Wales in 03, and why this hasn't happened before really buggles me.

I surely hope that they can show close to each rally live next season. That would really boost the WRC back into being one of the major motorsports in the world.

I can never find a continuously reliable stream. Any tips? Also, 1.5+1.5=5?

I got a bit obsessed with 1.5 there, do forgive me. With regards to streams, that's the "beauty" of it, you sort of switch between few of them but sometimes even that does not help. For example, when Canal+ keeps switching between rally and tennis. Streams you had/have are probably best choice, just alternate and pray for the best.
